Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cook the bacon according to the package instructions.
  • Once the bacon is finished cooking, roughly chop and set aside.
  • Add the ground beef to a skillet over medium heat and season it evenly with the seasoning salt, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Add the chopped onion and chopped garlic
  • Begin to brown the meat by breaking it up and crumbling it as you cook.
  • Once the meat is browned all the way through, drain the meat and return it to the skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Remove the ground beef mixture from the heat, and spread evenly into a 8x8 greased baking dish.

  • In a medium bowl, combine the eggs, heavy cream, and 1 cup of the shredded cheese. Mix together, and then pour evenly over the beef and bacon.

  • Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  • Allow to cool for about 5 minutes prior to serving.

Notes

The original recipe was for 10 servings but there are only 2 of us so I created for 6 people to use an entire pound of burger instead of halves.
