Ingredients

Marinade/Dressing:

  • Cup Dijon mustard
  • ¼ Cup balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp minced garlic
  • Cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Philly Cheesesteak

  • 1 Pound Sirloin Steak thinly sliced
  • ½ Medium Green Pepper sliced
  • ¼ Medium Onion 1/4 inch slices
  • ½ Pound fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
  • 2 Thin Slim Hot Dog Bun

Instructions

  • Mix together all ingredients for the marinade and set aside. You can use a bowl or a plastic bag.
  • Use leftover steak or fresh/raw steak.
  • If steak is raw, brown on each side for 3-4 minutes and let rest.
  • If steak is already cooked, let stand at room temperature for at least 5 minutes.
  • Thinly slice the steak.

  • Add steak to marinade and evenly coat. Set aside in refrigerator for at least one hour.
  • Thinly slice green peppers and onions.
  • Thinly slice fresh mozzarella and set aside.
  • Heat medium sized frying pan over medium high heat.
  • Add spray or 1 tsp olive oil to the pan and add green peppers and onions.
  • Saute onions and peppers until tender
  • Add marinaded steak to the pan and mix all ingredients together.
  • Lightly stir until the meat is heated through and no longer pink (about 5 minutes)
  • Add fresh mozzarella and mix together until completely melted.
  • Serve as is in a dish or on a keto friendly roll.
