Marinade/Dressing:
- ⅛ Cup Dijon mustard
- ¼ Cup balsamic vinegar
- ½ tsp minced garlic
- ⅛ Cup extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Philly Cheesesteak
- 1 Pound Sirloin Steak thinly sliced
- ½ Medium Green Pepper sliced
- ¼ Medium Onion 1/4 inch slices
- ½ Pound fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
- 2 Thin Slim Hot Dog Bun
Mix together all ingredients for the marinade and set aside. You can use a bowl or a plastic bag.
Use leftover steak or fresh/raw steak.
If steak is raw, brown on each side for 3-4 minutes and let rest.
If steak is already cooked, let stand at room temperature for at least 5 minutes.
Thinly slice the steak.
Add steak to marinade and evenly coat. Set aside in refrigerator for at least one hour.
Thinly slice green peppers and onions.
Thinly slice fresh mozzarella and set aside.
Heat medium sized frying pan over medium high heat.
Add spray or 1 tsp olive oil to the pan and add green peppers and onions.
Saute onions and peppers until tender
Add marinaded steak to the pan and mix all ingredients together.
Lightly stir until the meat is heated through and no longer pink (about 5 minutes)
Add fresh mozzarella and mix together until completely melted.
Serve as is in a dish or on a keto friendly roll.
