Deviled eggs are a wonderful treat that is frequently enjoyed in the keto lifestyle, and this is a variation on the traditional classic recipe that will kick up the flavors, and add some heat and a fun twist to the table. These make a great snack or a fun appetizer for your party guests, and with the addition of some chicken, feta cheese, hot sauce, and ranch dressing, these deviled eggs will really pack a punch of flavor.  Add even more pizazz to your egg presentation with ‘decorating’ them.  Our favorite way to do this is by using a cake decorating set.  Yup.  It works great!

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Eggs 100g
  • ¼ Cup Chicken Breast chopped or diced, 35g
  • ¼ Cup Feta Cheese crumbled, 38g
  • 2 Tbsp Hot Sauce 28g
  • Cup chopped Celery 13g
  • 1 Tbsp Ranch Dressing 15g
  • tsp Onion Powder 0g
  • 2 Tbsp Green Onion chopped, (12g)

Instructions

  • Cook chopped chicken on stove top until no longer pink inside. Cool and set aside.
  • Place egg in a saucepan. Cover them with cool water by 1 inch. Cover the pan with a lid and bring water to a rolling boil over high heat; when the water has reached a boil, set the timer for for 6 – 7 minutes over medium-high heat for hard boiled egg.
  • Once egg is cool, slice egg in half and pop yolk out into a mixing bowl.
  • Mash yolk with a fork and then add cooked chicken breast, feta cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, onion powder, and chopped celery.
  • Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Put mixture into a resealable plastic bag and squeeze the mixture to one corner of the bag and snip off the corner of the bag.
  • Use this to pipe the mixture back into egg halves.
  • Garnish with chopped green onion.

Make the chicken ahead of time or used canned chicken for a speedier prep time.
